Design Knowledge Overview

This is an overview of some of my skills and achievements, meant to demonstrate my ability to design and develop effectively.

Systems Design:

I have multiple projects to demonstrate my systems design capabilities. Most of these are tabletop games.

  1. Dragonrend: This project involved the creation of almost 300 cards, all made to fit in the established design structure from Wizards of The Coast.

  2. Mimic: A solo-developed Table Top Roleplaying Game. This is a highly involved solo project with hundreds-thousands of hours put into it.

  3. Boomerang: A short-form card game inspired by Uno.

  4. Tug: A party social deception game about criminal stuffed animals tearing each other in half in order to find the imposter!

  5. Card Designs: I have multiple small projects meant to demonstrate prowess in card and systems design.

  6. The Art Of  War: A Two-Player board game inspired by Chess. Players attempt to capture their enemy's flag in this extremely replayable strategy game.

  7. Ricona. My own Pokemon Region with 126 new Pokemon concepts. Ask me about it!

Level Design:

I am experienced in 2D and 3D level design in
Unreal & Unity

  1. Heights: Designed and implemented 3D level designs for 4 unique island levels along with a game overworld.

  2. Control: A 3D solo-developed space horror experience, with a focus on atmosphere.

  3. Delirium: Designed 4 Levels, each with their own unique gameplay.

  4. Masks Mandatory: A 7/11 environment for a convenient store experience. Game Jam Game!

  5. Dial Spiral: Designed the 3D level layout, puzzle, and narrative for a short and unique Game Jam experience.

  6. Tanuki Time: You play as a Tanuki and mess with people in this silly and cute 3D experience.

  7. Amorphous: A 2D Platformer Rogue-like where you play as a slime!

Narrative Design:

Program Knowledge:

I love to write and I am always considering the narrative conveyed in each of my projects.

  1. Dragonrend: Included writing a short story for the set's main characters, as well as devising flavor text for hundreds of cards. I also conveyed worldbuilding through card design.

  2. Mimic: My various rulebooks have a narrative foundation woven within them. Take a look at my Character Creation Handbook.

  3. Heights: Worked with our narrative designer to create a narrative foundation, multiple cutscenes, enemy informational text, and character dialogue.

  4. Tug: Created several fun player prompts meant to elevate the intended party game atmosphere.

  5. Delirium: Researched a heavy topic and created an abstract narrative, interwoven with each level's environment.

  6. Midnight Diner: A visual novel experience created with Twine.

I pride myself on my ability to learn new tools. I am not averse to stepping out of my comfort zone.
