Dial Spiral

About
Dial Spiral is a short experience created during an AIE Game Jam. This Jam was held during class time over the course of two school days. I worked with a team of other students to create a submission remotely. The theme for the Jam was "Don't touch that". This led us to create a stylized 3D game focused on how the player can listen to instructions. Throughout development, I acted as one of the lead designers and created the level layout of the cabin. I also organized the console system and set up the puzzles manually.
Dial Spiral is a game about a person(the player) stranded in a radio tower. They are said to have been chased into the tower and must avoid the group that was chasing them. Their rescue is on the way, but cannot find them in the dense woods. A stranger tunes in on the player's walky-talky and guides them through controlling the old, yet peculiar radio system within the tower. The catch is that if the player handles the radio incorrectly, the bad guys will come closer to finding them while the good guys will continue to be lost. Completing the tasks will result in the player getting out alive. Dial Spiral is designed to test player reasoning and patience under pressure.
